I will definitely explore the List Builder feature more as well as the other components of the site. It's by far one of the best tools I've come across recently and am happy to spread the word about it.
Comment on A Great Organizational Structure and List Building Tool

Thanks for the Cogmap love! However, those common words can certainly cause problems if sending a marketing email to a list of people. I think the important differentiator between personal email correspondence and marketing emails is that most of your friends or personal contacts probably have you in their email address book (or on a safe email address list), so your emails should not be blocked. It's when you expand beyond personal contacts that those words really start to matter.
Comment on Words Not to Use in Marketing Emails

I am amazed to see the word "hello" in the list of Marketing Profs.
I usually email my friends with the subject "hello" with their name or any other word..
so it means, my emails can also be blocked? strange..

Comment on Is the Economic Crisis a Catalyst for Web 2.0 Adoption?

At the time of financial crises we need to come together united and try to solve the problems which are responsible for such a hazard. It is my understanding from the article that SPAM filters are programmed to filter out certain words that are statistically most common in emails that are classified as SPAM. This is designed to prevent users from getting emails they do not want or that could contain potentially harmful content, yet still prevents many legitimate marketing emails from getting through to the intended recipients. I'm very glad to know that "only" is a word to be avoided since it is not one I would automatically avoid (like you mentioned with "free.") I hope this information helps your marketing efforts as well!
Comment on Words Not to Use in Marketing Emails

Wow why is that the word "only" is on the list? I think the most obvious is the word "free" and I don't use that on my email marketing.

Comment on Message to the Financial Crisis

Our primary message from this entry is that IBM's unique approach to financing in the crisis is a great example of one way to combat the crisis through continuing to promote sales. IBM Global Financing provides its customers with the means to finance their purchases that may not exist elsewhere. While many companies may not be able to establish their own financing division, even the smallest companies can extend their billing and payment periods by 30 or 60 days to allow customers a little more flexibility. The same strategies may not work for every company, but finding a creative way to continue to sell your product or services goes a long way in combating the crisis' effect on your company.
Comment on Message to the Financial Crisis

Crisis do affects every company and i think all of us.
